🌿 Meet Michelle — The Heart Behind Ascent

Ascent began with a love of fragrance, self care and the little moments that help us slow down and reconnect with ourselves. Founder Michelle’s passion for creating “lotions and potions” started as a child, experimenting with her mum’s Avon bubble baths and blending scents together to create something new and joyful.

Years later, while working as a busy, overstretched lawyer, Michelle found comfort in long evening baths — using fragrance and imagination as a way to escape the stresses of everyday life. She would dream about places she hoped to visit one day, imagining not only the sights and sounds, but the scents too. After all, smell has such a powerful connection to memory, emotion and wellbeing.

A decade later, those dreams became reality with the launch of Ascent and its first collection, The Journey Collection. Since then, the brand has grown into an award-winning business stocked in gift shops and independent retailers across the UK, with each product thoughtfully created to inspire calm, comfort and joy.

At the heart of Ascent is still the same simple goal Michelle has always had: to create beautifully considered scent stories that encourage moments of self care, relaxation and happiness in everyday life. 🌿✨
